Hello Beautiful People!

My posting today is dedicated to achieving perfect, flawless eyeshadow that lasts all day or night. I used to wonder how models and actresses prevented their eyeshadow from creasing and wearing off. That was before I discovered Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, an amazing little cream that is applied before eyeshadow to make the shadow creaseless, bold, and wear resistant.

Now before I begin I will say that this is one of more expensive products in my beauty regime. It retails at Sephora at $19 for a 0.37 oz tube, which is crazy expensive. However, you use such a miniscule amount with each application so my previous tube lasted over a year and it was smaller than the current size. I did the math and if you use this product ever day for a year it averages out to only .05 cents per day. That is not terribly expensive…if you have an extra $20 to really pamper yourself this is something that will last you all year.

If I haven’t already convinced you to purchase this product, I suggest you stop by Sephora and ask for a free sample. Sephora offers free samples of ALL of their products (even perfume)! While you are at Sephora you should definatley sign up for the Beauty Insiders card which allows you to build points for free samples. Last time I was at Sephora, I was offered a travel size of the Urban Decay primer for one of my free samples. So watch carefully and you can get this product on the sly. Don’t wait for it to go on sale though because like designer perfume it doesn’t ever go on sale. ever.

If you really want to treat yourself try the Naked Palette by Urban Decay, which comes with a travel size eye primer. This eyeshadow set has a five star rating on Sephora with almost 3,000 reviews at the time of this posting. That is a lot of women loving this makeup.  I don’t own it so I wouldn’t know but if you believe those 3,000 women it is a really great set. That is if you can spend $48 on a set of eyeshadows.

DOUBLE Bonus Days at Macy’s (Clinique & Estee Lauder)!!

Just a quick heads up that we have a DOUBLE bonus days going on at Macy’s right now.  Clinique is offering a lovely bag and assorted goodies in your color choice with a purchase of $21.50!  Also Estee Lauder is offering a cosmetic case, bag, and make-up with any fragrance purchase.  This is your chance to go out and grab a new perfume (my fav estee lauder is original Pleasures) and that new product from Clinique you have been eyeing.  Maybe a sunscreen? I recommend the City Block SPF 25 ($18) because it is light, oil-free, and can be worn under make-up.  The price is a little expensive for my tastes, but I have spent a lot of time in the sun so a good sunscreen is a must for me.  But I digress.

Bonus days are awesome for several reasons.  First, they allow you to replace your mascara relatively often, which is a must for preventing eye funk.  This is especially important if you share your makeup!  Secondly, taking advantage of bonus days allows you get the latest colors for the season in both make-up and a cute cosmetics bag.  Finally, you can obtain the expensive and admittedly higher quality eye creams and moisturizers.  More importantly you don’t have to drop the better part of $100 to get a product that doesn’t end up working for you.

What did I get for my bonus days item, you ask?  Actually, I skipped it this time. Gasp. I am waiting for the Lancôme bonus days. I got an inside line that it will take place in June! I love their sample sized eye creams.  J
