I am a thirty-one year old attempting to be fashionable and successful in the very expensive San Francisco Bay Area. Originally from the fabulous City of Chicago, I relocated here with my now hubby in 2006 after meeting him in graduate school. I am mother to three fur-babies (one kitty cat and two basset hounds) and we are working on having a real one as well. I always wanted a big family. Right now we are in exile in Solano County (don’t ask) but hopefully we will be back in the East Bay soon…where we belong.
Graduate school you say? Yes, I did fall into the ‘vortex of failure’ that is the graduate degree in anthropology with a specialization in French archaeology and I am still recovering even though I graduated in 2007! Currently, I make a living as an archaeological consultant but I want to be a museum curator when I grow up. I am taking classes in Museum Studies department at San Francisco State Uni so I can actually realize this goal. Let’s just say it is a bit competitive for museum jobs in SF. My time in archaeology has influenced my love of fashion simply because I have travelled a little in Europe.
I absolutely love clothes, fashion, beauty products, hair accessories, makeup, jewelry and all things pretty & girlie. I always dreamed of being a journalist or photographer and starting a magazine with real stuff that everyday women could afford. This blog is my way of doing that without the start up cost and eventual failure of a new venture in print media.
